The story of Inbalit starts half a century ago when the couple, Miriam and Asher Berzinsky (in the picture below) opened a yarn shop in Netanya, Israel. Over the years to come, the store became a well known institution, renowned far and wide as "Miriam's Wool – Netanya".
In 1989, their daughter Hana took over the little business developing the one shop into a chain of stores dealing in retailing knitting yarns and later expanding the business to include embroidery as well as importing yarns to be marketed to other stores.
Over the years, Inbalit has become the main supplier in Israel of embroidery kits, offering today a wide variety of items for DIY needlecrafts, supplying these kits to hobby stores throughout Israel and abroad.
Inbalit yearly offers state of the art hand knitting yarns of the highest quality, a quality previously unknown to the Israeli market. These yarns are manufactured abroad by manufacturers who produce them for leading companies in the world. As a rule, these yarns can be seen simultaneously in the collections of leading knitting yarn companies worldwide.
Each and every thread is meticulously inspected by Inbalit's expert staff, a part of the inspection is knitting with the various yarns and only after that an order is placed for the yarns to be manufactured. Inbalit is the sole representative of "Bravo" in Israel, importing a choice variety of their products.
An annual catalogue, "Knitting for Fun", is prepared and published by Inbalit, presenting original ideas and patterns suitable to the newly imported yarns.
To this day Hana Knippel is the manager and director of Inbalit, employing six devoted workers who together maintain the business, offering efficient service to the clientele.
